How To Fix Aptio Setup Utility During Booting

How To Fix Aptio Setup Utility During Booting

The Aptio Setup Utility is kind of a variant of the BIOS setup utility, although the Aptio Setup Utility usually only comes with some desktops and laptops. Quite a lot of computer users have faced and will continue to face an issue where their computer continuously boots into the Aptio Setup Utility instead of booting into its Operating Systems.
Why do this issue occur?
Any computer usually does so because it does not detect an Operating System that it can boot to or doesn’t have an HDD/SSD connected to it entirely.

However, if you are certain your computer or laptop has an HDD/SSD with a viable installation of an Operating System connected to it but are still experiencing this issue, there can only be one of two explanations for it – the connection between your computer and its HDD/SSD has come loose, resulting in your computer not being able to detect it, or your computer simply can’t detect its HDD/SSD and recognize it as such. If the latter is the case, your computer might not be detecting the HDD/SSD because most Asus computers are configured to not recognize any HDDs/SSDs other than the ones they come with, and your computer, for some reason, thinks that the HDD/SSD in question is not the one it came with.
From a survey I made about the Aptio Setup Utility issue, it was discovered that this issue mostly occur on Asus computers. Hopefully,  this problem could be fixes, and the following are the two most effective solutions for this problem:

Ensure The HSD/SSD is connected properly

Most times, it could be dissolved that the most obvious cause of this issue in your case would most likely be that the connection between your computer and its HDD/SSD has somehow been disconnected, rendering your computer unable to detect its HDD/SSD. If this is, indeed, the cause of this issue for you, all you need to do is fasten the connection between your computer and its HDD/SSD. In order to do so, you need to:

  • Open your computer up to gain access to its HDD/SSD. If your computer’s a desktop, open its casing. If your computer’s a laptop, unscrew and remove its bottom.
  • Locate and unplug the drive’s connection from your computer’s motherboard.
  • Clean out both the drive’s connection and its socket it your computer’s motherboard.
  • Plug the drive’s connection back into its socket on your computer’s motherboard, making sure to seat it correctly and firmly.
  • Close your computer up.
  • Boot your computer up and check to see if the issue still persists.

Allow your computer to detect foreign HDDs and SSDs

If your computer’s HDD/SSD is connected to it as best it can be, you might be suffering from this issue because your computer is set to not recognize foreign HDDs and SSDs the HDD/SSD you are trying to use is either not the one your computer came with or your computer simply believes that to be the case. If this is the root of this issue for you, this solution might work quite well for you. To allow your Asus computer to detect foreign HDDs and SSD and recognize them as such, you need to:

  • Boot your computer up and wait for it to boot into the Aptio Setup Utility.
  • Once in the Aptio Setup Utility, navigate to the Security
  • Expand the Secure Boot menu section and disable Secure Boot.
  • Navigate to the Save & Exit tab, save your changes, exit the Aptio Setup Utility, restart your computer and wait for it to boot into the utility once again.
  • Navigate to the Boot
  • Disable Secure Boot and Fast Boot
  • Enable CSM (Compatibility Support Module).
  • Navigate to the Save & Exit tab, save your changes, exit the Aptio Setup Utility and restart your computer. When your computer boots up, it should boot straight into its Operating System and not into the Aptio Setup Utility.

Other Possible Solutions

Select proper boot device

If your hdd shows on that list select that and then save and exit.

Practically, Try This

press esc and quit without saving. I tried all the solutions I could find on google and I was stuck in an endless loop of the aptio setup utility. The screen would still appear after saving changes and resetting or no matter what i tried. it was so annoying as i could not study due to my laptop being stuck on that screen. i went to the helpdesk at my school, the shooter just asked me to press esc and quit without saving. i tried it myself. i pressed F2 and went aptio setup utility. i pressed esc and quit without saving and the aptio setup utility screen was gone.
