Nigeria's most used smartphone Tecno rolls out a new generation under the Spark Series. Tecno Spark 4 recently announced by Tecno Mobile appears in trending smartphone design and styles.

Tecno Spark 4 having predecessors like Spark 2, Spark 3 and Spark 3 Pro is a 6.52 inches (1600×720 pixel) on the Android 9 (pie) operating system and is accredited 3GB/2GB Ram for a smarter user experience.

The smartphone happens to appear in design assumably new to the Spark series but actually not too different from the trend of smartphones accross the mobile markets.
Spark 4 is expected to be a 4G supportive smartphone with a 4000mAh powered battery capacity, a 13 megapixel rear camera with f/1.8 aperture and a 8 megapixel capture lens on the front.

What are the major expectations/features on the Spark 4 Design?

Starting from it's size, Spark 4 features a 6.52 inches IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1600×720 Pixel. It also features a full screen display on the front, leaving just it's super selfie 8 megapixel front camera to suit the trend design.

The smartphone has it's case made of plastic with round edges , it features its side buttons on the right side which includes the volume buttons and the power button.

On the rear, Tecno Spark 4 is seen to feature 3 cameras with a quad LED flash for a brighter capturing experience. Still on the rear is the finger print sensor embedded at the center, it also has it's brand name crested at the rear bottom.

The Tecno Spark 4 smartphone comes with four colour variants leaving you with options of Blue, Red, Grey and Purple painted in gradients and not plain colours.

Storage and Battery Capacity

After checking the physical appearances, the next thing that comes to minds like mine is the storage capacity and battery capacity.

Tecno Spark 4 offers 3GB/2GB Ram variants and on the other side a 32GB storage capacity (Rom) expandable to 128GB via the availability of a MicroSD slot.

For The Battery Capacity, Tecno Spark 4 offers a non-removeable 4000mAh Li-ion battery.

On the Bad side, it does not support flash charging.

Camera

What comes next after knowing the Tecno Spark 4 design features, storage and battery capacity? For me, I guess I would check what the camera has to offer.

Recently smartphones like the iPhone 11 have offered a 4 camera feature but an improvement from a 2 camera on the Spark 3 and Spark 3 pro to a 3 Camera on the Spark 4 is a great development, hopefully incoming gadgets on the spark series would offer more.

The triple camera on Spark 4 rear is endowed with a 13 megapixel capture lens which has an aperture of F/1.8, 2 megapixel depth camera and a QVGA camera for an additional 320×240 pixel capturing, while the front has a 8 mega pixel top centered camera for selfies.

Hopefully, photos taken with the Tecno Spark 4 under a good weather condition will turn out bright, smart and lovely.

Hardware and Software

There are no surprises here, The same hardware specs we had on the Tecno Spark 3 is what we have on the Tecno Spark 4. From Processor to RAM and to storage, the specs are the same. The only difference here is the battery, which has been slightly increased.

The Tecno Spark 4 features a Quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 Processor, with a processing speed of 2.0GHz. This processor is powerful enough to get you true all the basics, from surfing the net to light gaming.

The 4G smartphone also features a 2GB RAM, 32GB of internal storage and a 4000mAh battery. There is no fast charge mechanism here to speed up charging, you shouldn’t be expecting any crazy charging speeds.

Despite being a smartphone released months after Android 10 went live, the Tecno Spark 4 still runs HiOS 5.5 on top of Android 9.0 Pie. As at the time this article was written, there was no word on any future updates for OS.

The Spark 4 smartphone is not exempted from the trend like is mentioned earlier as it is blessed with a Digital compass, Accelerometer, Fingerprint scanner, Face unlock, Proximity sensor, Intelligent Digital Assistance and Voice recognition for apps like Google Assistant.
