What Is a Tariff Plan?

Tariff plans are defined charges by these network providers. Tariff systems vary from country to country, they are generally made up of, the standing charges and the call charges.

·         Standing Charges: These charges are fixed and they are used to pay for the cost of connection to the nearest exchange. They are usually paid on monthly basis.

·         Call Charges: These are variable charges used to pay for calls from the caller’s network, to the receiver’s network. These call charges can be calculated.

MTN Tariff Plans:

These are call rates applied to the MTN Network. Below are their different tariff plans, their migrating codes and their benefits

MTN BetaTalk:

Enjoy 150% airtime bonus on every recharge below 100 naira and 250% airtime bonus on recharges from 100 naira and above.

·         Data Bonus: This tariff plan offers data and airtime bonuses, Unlike the Pulse 24 hours of validity, BetaTalk gives out 10 megabytes on every Air100-naira recharge and it lasts for a period of 7 days.

·         Airtime Bonus: For every 100 naira above top up you get a 250% bonus, i.e. bonus of 250 naira is given. For every 100-naira top up, a bonus of 150% is added, i.e. 150 naira is given.

Validity of the Airtime bonus is 7 days and be used for calls to all Nigerian networks.

MTN Pulse:

This tariff is one of the best tariffs in the MTN network as it includes a lot of bonuses for its customers being sectioned in the categories below

• ·         Music+: This is a digital music service that gives you instant access to loads of songs – from all your old favorites to the latest hits!

This requires daily charges of 10 naira and can be subscribed to by dialing the USSD *590# or by SMS text “MUSIC to 5900”

• ·         Nightlife bundles: Nightlife bundles from 12am to 5m (fair usage policy of 500mb applies)

1.       120mb pulse nightlife @25 naira

2.       500mb pulse nightlife @ 50naira

• ·         Instabinge Bundles: Enjoy daily access to Instagram with pulse instabinge bundles

1.       Instagram 250MB @ 100 naira

XtraSpecial:

Now this tariff I guess was designed for customers who do a lot of international calls.

XtraSpecial used to be available for all prepaid customers, but it is currently available for only postpaid customers. Countries attached to this wonderful plan includes; Canada, China, Germany, Sweden, South Korea, Israel, Hong Kong, Romania, Denmark, Cyprus, India, Ireland, Malaysia, South Africa, United Kingdom, United States, Malta, Luxembourg.

XtraValue:  

XtraValue offers a bundle of huge airtime for voice calls and data, these bundles are categorized into XtraTalk and XtraData.

·         XtraTalk Bundles: This bundle offers more airtime for voice calls than data volume.

·         XtraData Bundles: In reverse, this bundle offers more data volume than airtime for voice calls.
