On the recent update of the Google mail, some interesting features have been included in which mail scheduling is one of them. This feature, as promised by Google has been included on the Gmail app and website as well.

Google is clearly trying to make the Gmail experience better, and bring it up to what Inbox offered (in some ways, if not all), and that’s something I really appreciate. The new features in Gmail are sure to make it handling emails easier for people, and scheduling emails is just a cool thing for anyone who primarily uses emails for correspondence.

This feature will enable users to schedule emails to be sent on specific dates and time. Before now, third party apps have been the savior for some of us who schedule mails on Gmail.

How to Schedule Emails  in Gmail App.


  1. Launch the Gmail app, and compose a new email. Once you’re done with that, tap on the three dot menu on the top right, and tap on ‘Schedule Send.

  2. You will now be able to choose between the preset times, or pick a date and time of your own choosing by tapping on the last icon.

  3. Once you’re done, just tap on ‘Schedule send‘ and that’s it. Gmail will schedule your email and it’ll be sent automatically at the time of your choosing.

  4. If you want to take a look at your scheduled emails, you can simply head over to the hamburger menu in Gmail, and tap on ‘Scheduled’ to see all the emails you have scheduled.

How to Schedule Emails in Gmail Web.


  1. In Gmail, compose a new email. Once you’re done, click on the drop-down arrow on the ‘Send’ button.

  2. You will see a new ‘Schedule Send‘ option here. Click on it.

  3. Here, you’ll be able to pick a scheduling time from available presets, or you can click on the ‘Pick date & time‘ option to choose exactly when you want Gmail to send the email.

  4. As it was with the mobile app, if you want to take a look at your scheduled emails, you can click on ‘Scheduled’ in the side-bar.
