The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Niger-Delta Affairs, Senator Ita Solomon Enang has shared the happy moment of state rebirth with the people of Akwa Ibom State, calling on all stakeholders to eschew division but join hands to move the state forward.

Senator Enang who expressed joy to the Almighty God for his benevolence towards the state, reasoned that Akwa Ibom has the potential to witness huge economic progress, if all of its stakeholders could come together to build the state.

Enang who spoke with newsmen in Uyo on Saturday insisted that the state is blessed with very experienced human capital who have the capacity to brainstorm and proffer useful solutions to the problems of poverty, unemployment and economic inclusion of all interest units in the state.

Saying the State must be ready to embrace developmental efforts extended to it by the federal government, the presidential aide equally cautioned the state government led by Mr Udom Gabriel Emmanuel against concentrating the establishment of factories in just one local government area.

Maintaining that there must be transparency on the percentages of shares by the state government and the private operators, Ita Enang pointed out that such arrangement will not only elicit confidence and trust from the people, but would propel unalloyed support for more achievements by the government.

"It is time for all stakeholders of the state to join hands in building the state. We should unite across party lines to build the Akwa Ibom of our dream. The Governor, former governors, former and serving senators, former and serving ministers, past and present commissioners and special advisers, board chairmen and every person in the leadership ladder must come together and build the Akwa Ibom that our future generations will be proud of", he said.

Meanwhile, in a press release he earlier issued on Saturday, on behalf of APC stakeholders in the state, the Senator acknowledged President Buhari's "magnanimous favours to Akwa Ibom in terms of appointments, projects and social investment programmes in the state, despite the contrived posturing of some politicians to portray Akwa Ibom as an opposition figure".

Noting that the visit of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo "will open new vistas of socio-economic and political rebirth in the state", Enang assured the president that "Akwa Ibom remains in the forefront of national politics, poised to embrace political integration and inclusiveness".

However, Ita Enang who joined the state government to receive the vice president at the Victor Attah International Airport on Saturday, also went with him to both ONNA and Mkpat Enin LGAs for the inauguration of projects undertaken by the administration of Udom Gabriel Emmanuel.

The presidential aide who left for Abuja with Prof Osinbajo on Sunday, as well attended a state banquet organized to mark the 32nd anniversary on Saturday night and the statewide Thanksgiving Service, together with the Minister of Diger-Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio and other officials of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
