OnePlus 7 Pro Colors and Price In Nigeria

OnePlus 7 Pro Color Specifications and Price

Finally, the OnePlus 7 Pro is here with some great features and integrations that we have never seen before on any smartphone.

If you intend to remain at the top position when it comes to the smartphone industry, then you’ve got to continuously deliver and that is what OnePlus has been consistently doing for the past 5 years since the launch of OnePlus
You think OnePlus 6T is an all rounder great device? Then, you definitely haven’t seen the OnePlus 7 Pro.

The highlight of this phone is on its stunning display and speed.

OnePlus 7 Pro

When i said display, i am not just referring to the all screen (no notch, tiny bottom bezel, curved edges and zero top bezel) display but also its quality.

Is the screen brighter than Samsung? No, Samsung still takes that spot but that’s it. What i am talking about is the color science/reproduction thanks to AMOLED screen which OnePlus continuously refer to as Fluid, user experience thanks to 90 Hz refresh rate (first in any smartphone) and borderless display thanks to the curved screen into the side and no interruptions like notch.

The display quality (overall) is better than any other smartphone in the world right now.

And when i said speed, i mean it is the fastest device in the world right now (all rounder). No question, no apology. Just saying it as it is. They were able to achieve this using the current best of Qualcomm chipset, UFS 3.0 storage, no external storage, RAM options (6GB, 8GB, 12GB) and powerful optimization of the Oxygen OS.

Before revealing much more details and specs of this device, here are what is inside the box along side the device itself.

Warp Charger with Type C cable

Wall Charger with Type-C Cable
Plastic Case
Other things worth knowing about this device are the camera (not the best but one of), dual speaker with 3d sounds, motorized front facing camera and 300 mAh bump in battery size compare to the 6T.

Some noticeable absent features are no 3.5mm headphone jack (they have do away with this since the 6), no IP rating and still no support for wireless charging.

OnePlus 7 Pro Design & Display

The 7 Pro is definitely one of the best designed smartphones in the world right now. This is not just about the borderless display but more about the quality Glass finish, color choices and rounded edges.

You already know about the motorized selfie camera which pops up at the top left of the device and the stereo speaker directly above the display. The power and alert button are still at the right hand side while the volume button is still at the left.

At the bottom we have the sim card tray slot, microphone, USB Type-C port and speaker. The bottom arrangement is somehow similar to that of Huawei P30 Pro (talking of the round edges). You can see the antenna bands running across the sides both at the top and bottom.

Flipping to the back of the device, you will immediately notice the vertical arrangement of the three cameras and LED flash at the top 1/3 of the device with the OnePlus branding at the bottom.

The 7 Pro is a 6.7-inch Fluid AMOLED display smartphone with 3120 x 1440 (QHD+ resolution) pixel, 516 ppi pixel density (even with that size, nice work done here), 90 Hz refresh rate, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 800 nits maximum partial brightness. What you are looking at here is the best smartphone display yet in 2019 with A grade contrast, brightness at any condition and superb user experience.

With the support of HDR 10 and 10+, you can enjoy entertainment on a whole new level with the 7 Pro.

The screen curved into the sides as seen on Samsung Galaxy S10 but wasn’t utilized like it. The rounded edges and glass finish makes the device sort of slippery in the hand and you might need to be very careful or better still get yourself a case.

Processor, Operating System & Storage

OnePlus 7 Pro is powered Qualcomm’s 7nm Snapdragon 855 with Adreno 640 GPU on board and RAM options of 6GB, 8GB and 12GB. The chipset uses an octa core processor and currently the best from Qualcomm at the moment. Those using devices that uses this chipset can testify to the speed it brought to the table and its power efficiency.

It makes use of UFS 3.0 storage which is said to be 79% faster than its predecessor (UFS 2.1) for write and read. This is the first time a UFS 3.0 will be used on a smartphone. With Type-C USB on board, you can expect to send and receive files at a much more faster rate.

This device can handle just about anything you throw at it without any hiccups. While gaming or on any other heavy task, the manufacturer has put in place a liquid cooling system to keep it from overly warm.

The 7 Pro from OnePlus runs on Oxygen firmware based on Android 9.0 Pie and it is one of the few devices that can currently run the Android Q developer preview officially.

Battery, Camera & Connectivity

The device is packed with 4000 mAh battery capacity which can comfortably last you through a day of usage even on heavy use. Not as impressive as the Huawei battery but still does it job very well. Inside the box is fast 30W charger that can charge the device up to 48% in 20 minutes and 100% in less than 80 minutes. It also comes with warp charger which you can use inside your car and it is also equally fast.

Behind the 7 Pro are triple camera. There is the main camera, ultra wide and telephoto.

The main camera is a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor at the middle of the trio. It’s a 7P lens (allow more light into the sensor) with f/1.6 aperture, OIS (optical image stabilization).

There is then the 16MP ultra wide angle lens at the top with 117 degrees field of view, PDAF and f/2.2 aperture.

Then the bottom camera is an 8MP telephoto lens, 3X optical zoom, f/2.4 aperture and it also support OIS.

The device camera can switch between PDAF, CAF, Laser AF depending on condition.

Now the selfie camera. It is a motorized camera that takes less than a seconds to pop up. It is 16MP and can pop up and close for about 300,000 times. So if you open the camera 100 times a day, it will last you for 8 years and about three months.

To prevent the front facing camera from breaking if it fall by mistake, it comes with some sort of sensor that detect free falling and when this happens, it automatically closes up itself.

Images taken with this device are very clear and sharp. It is not as good as the Google Pixel 3 Xl but definitely close and also comes with its own version of night sight to take clear pictures in low light condition.

The 7 Pro supports Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C, Wi-FI and sim card. The device uses optical under-display fingerprint sensor. It is available in Almond, Nebular Blue and Matte Black.
